The Chapuis C35 & C40 are a great blend of CNC and hand finishing. The rounded actions are similar in shape to that of the Rizzini RB EM, RB EL and several other brands such as Fausti et al. The monoblock is engineered in a way that it interlocks with a plate at the bottom of the action, similar to that found on the recently launched Caesar Guerini competition & Game Invictus model shotguns, Chapuis have been making an over & under gun like this for over 25 years.
The Super Orion C35, like many other Chapuis Armes guns, is a great value proposition game gun fitted with ejectors and superb for driven game and walked up shooting. It offers 11 different designs of fine laser English scroll engraving around the receiver and new game scenes on the round body action sides and bottom. As well as having interchangeable recoil plates, it has a single or double trigger ‘Blitz’ type battery and AAA (Grade 3) fancy grade walnut straight grip stock which is slightly and elegantly rounded out. The barrels are built with solid side ribs with either vented top rib or classic solid game rib, and the barrel length can be either 24 inch, 26 inch, 28 inch, 30 inch or 32 inch. This can be selected at point of order. The Chapuis Armes C35 shotgun has a hand-rubbed oil finish with hand cut checkering, and comes in a molded plastic case with coded locks. The average weight of this gun is 2.5kg.
The Super Orion C40 shotgun is technically identical to the Super Orion Round Design C35 model. It is a great value proposition game gun, similar to many other shotguns manufactured by Chapuis Armes, and is great for driven game and walked up shooting. The C40 is fitted with side plates as well as a single or double trigger ‘Blitz’ type battery, with short trigger plate, and the barrels are built with solid side ribs with either vented top rib or classic solid game rib. It comes as standard with AAAA (Grade 4) walnut stock and a chequered walnut buttplate to match. Whatever the grade of stock on Chapuis Armes shotguns, they are oil finished by hand meaning that they are superior to guns at the same price and in some cases, double the price. Although the action body is a slim and well-rounded piece of work, it is an internally complex which makes for an end result of style with strength. The C40 Classic shotgun is fine laser engraved and offers several design options to choose from, making it a very robust shotgun. Chapuis will also make the stock to your dimensions within the price, whether straight hand or semi pistol and similar to the C35 Classic shotgun, it comes in a moulded plastic case with coded locks. The average weight of this gun is 2.5kg.
